Emmerthal

Hämelschenburg Castle

Enjoy nature in the middle of the triangle of historic towns Hameln, Bodenwerder and Bad Pyrmont.
Hämelschenburg Castle is situated amidst the idyllic landscape of the Emmer valley, chief work of the Weser Renaissance and one of the most beautiful castles in Northern Germany.
An interesting side trip for cyclists leads along the cycle route “Bauernland und Weser” (Farmers land and Weser) to the villages Hajen (13th century church), Frenke (privately run museum “Heimatstuben”) and Börry (“Museum für Landtechnik und Landarbeit” (Museum of agricultural equipment and farm labor)).
