Herzebrock-Clarholz

Former Convent Herzebrock

The community of Herzebrock-Clarholz, created in 1970, has its origin in the foundation of two abbeys: in 860 a Canoness’s convent at Herzebrock and 1133 a Premonstratensian monastery at Clarholz. Herzebrock-Clarhoz is situated at the edge of the Münsterland in a flat landscape absolutely ideal for cycling tours. The trails lead through woods, pastures and fields helping hikers and cyclists to quickly forget stress and frenzy of everyday life. The lovingly restored abbeys are an ideal starting point for extended hiking or cycling tours. Möhler Castle in the South of the community’s area is at all cases worth a detour.
