Lügde

Lügde: City Wall with Defence Tower

The half-timbered town of Lüdge is famous for the traditional “Osterräderlauf” (fire wheels running down the Oster hill at Easter) a unique
age-old custom. But Lüdge has more to offer: a historic old town with city walls, defence towers and lovingly restored half-timbered houses, Kötterberg (Kötter Hill) with a striking surround view, Falkenhagen Convent, St. Kilian’s Church, stork sanctuary, “Heimatmuseum” (museum of local history), cabaret and theatre…. Enjoy the medieval atmosphere and nature’s beauties in Lüdge!
