Bad Salzuflen

Historic Town Centre

Bad Salzuflen is situated at the Northern rim of the Ravensberg depression at the confluence of Salze, Bega and Werre. Compared to other North Lippe
communities, Bad Salzuflen is densely populated. Around the town centre the
districts have the typical character of villages surrounded by farmland and culture landscape. To the Northeast of rivers Werre and Bega a mainly forested row of hills of the “Lipper Bergland” crosses the town area. Heights are up to 250 metres, the deepest point approx. 70 metres is at the Werre river close to the city limits of Herford. Since 2008 the urban area is part of the nature park
“Teutoburg Forest/Egge mountain".
