Bad Iburg (11.700 inhabitants) is situated at the Southern slope of the Teutoburg Forest. The city of the Kneipp spa's landmark is the castle with its historic great hall (guided tours Friday to Sundays at 3:00 p.m.). Bad Iburg is a popular place for excursions and holidays offering well signposted nets of hiking and cycling tracks, three museums (Watch and Clock Museum, Museum of Local History and Studies and Castle museum), modern wellness and health facilities and a diversified retail and gastronomy scene.
