The Versmold community of Bockhorst with its historical centre is one of
Westphalia’s most beautiful villages. Especially the church yard surrounded by
enchanting half-timbered houses creates a unique atmosphere. The roman parish church dating from the 13th century is one of the places jewels. The 12th century “Triumph Cross” which made Bockhorst almost world-famous was found here. Another highlight is the so-called “Bockhorsten Kotten” a small newly erected
two-post half-timbered house of 1750.
